Bryan's Judo Philosophy
In memory of Bryan Marcus, the late founder of Lyonsdown Judo Club, and his attitude to coaching and teaching Judo the club has insigated an award, to maintain the values and the attidudes that Bryan held.
At the three gradings held each year the Bryan Marcus memorial trophy is awarded to the Junior and the Primary who has improved the most during the period since the last grading. In this way we will maintain the spirit that Bryan personified, and encourage those who have tried the hardest, and not necessarily the students who have won the most contests.
